Icilda brought her touch of magic with her from Clarendon, Jamaica. From the moment she arrived in the UK in the 1950's she set to work in her new kitchen getting ready for the family feasts to come.
The aromas she created brought family and friends, both old and new, from near and far to her kitchen door.
No matter the hour, she never turned anyone away. The later the night, the spicier the food, the sweeter the stories.
Following on from her footsteps we are continuing our heritage of communal food, conversation and laughter. Icilda's Kitchen allows everyone to experience the essence of Icildas cooking within their own homes.
By bringing community back to our kitchens, homes and neighbourhoods through good food, we make sure that the spirit of Icilda and her cooking is never lost.
